Course overview

Delivered by our experienced maritime specialists and bespoke to your organisation, the Mooring Operations and Line Handling one-day course covers the responsibilities, operational procedures and appropriate communications involved in safe and effective mooring and line handling, as well as associated hazards and corresponding management and mitigation techniques.

The programme includes a detailed breakdown of the mooring process from pre-vessel arrival to departure, mooring line types, characteristics and risks, types of bollard and other mooring equipment, manning arrangements and associated commands, manual handling techniques, PPE, risk assessment and pier contingencies.
